Decemver 4 (BTA) - GERB-UDF Floor Leader Dessislava Atanassova told Bulgarian National Radio here on Sunday that her party will not support the cabinet, proposed by Continue the Change and its coalition partners.

"As of this moment, we know nothing about the future composition of the government," she said, adding that this is a coalition of Left-wing liberal parties, while GERB is a Right-wing party and will stick to its programmes and ideology.

"We are aware that our State truly needs a regular government, because it is clear for everyone that two consecutive parliaments failed in their attempt to form a regular government and this failure was punished by the Bulgarian citizens," she said.

Atanassova said that securing quorum in Parliament is the incumbents' responsibility and not the opposition's, adding however, that every MP is responsible to attend parliamentary committee and plenary meetings.

GERB will support all decisions that are good for this country's national interest, she said, adding that there will be zero tolerance for mistakes.

Atanassova pledged that GERB will not be a loud and aggressive opposition, but constructive, knowing and demanding.

''I am sure that before Christmas Bulgaria will have a new government, regularly elected by this Parliament,'' said the co-chairman of Democratic Bulgaria (DB), Atanas Atanasov, to BNT. He stressed that that is what the Bulgarian voters want.

Atanasov noted that about 90 per cent of the Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria (DSB), part of the DB coalition, will support a government formed by Continue the Change. He added that he and DB co-leader Hristo Ivanov will remain in Parliament and work to restore the authority of the National Assembly. MY/DT
