706 New Cases,
Test Positivity Rate at 4.3%
Sofia, December 6 (BTA)- The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 703,160, after 16,360 tests identified 706 new infections on Sunday, of whom 81.30 per cent are unvaccinated, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 4.3 per cent.
Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 209 positive tests, followed Varna Region with 66 cases and Plovdiv Region with 46 cases.
The active cases are 100,811. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 6,130, including 674 in intensive care. Of the 165 newly hospitalized patients, 84.24 per cent are unvaccinated.
A total of 47 fatalities were reported, all of whom not vaccinated, and the death toll now adds up to 28,852.
Another 385 COVID-19 patients recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 573,497.
With 4,050 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 3,400,750 vaccine doses have been administered so far, 1,802,611 people are fully vaccinated and 126,807 people have received a booster dose.
