Central Bank Governor Radev to Also Serve as Governor for Bulgaria in IMF
Sofia, August 19 (BTA) - The Council of Ministers Wednesday appointed the Governor of the National Bank of Bulgaria (BNB, the central bank), Dimiter Radev, as governor for Bulgaria in the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the government's information service said.
The same decision also appointed BNB Under-Governor Dimiter Kostov as deputy governor for Bulgaria in the organizations of the World Bank Group: the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), as well as in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The decision reflects the recent changes in the leadership of the BNB.
