White House Names US Ambassadorial Nominee for Bulgatia

Washngton, D.C., September 16 (BTA) - The White House announced Tuesday that President Barack Obama intends to nominate Eric Seth Rubin for the position of US Ambassador to Bulgaria. The announcement was made along with those for several other key administration posts.

The White House says that Eric Seth Rubin is a career member of the Foreign Service, class of Minister-Counselor. He has most recently (from 2011 to August 2015) served as Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs. He previously served as Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Moscow from 2008 to 2011, Executive Assistant to the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs from 2006 to 2008, and Director of the Office of Policy and Coordination from 2004 to 2006.
