Next Meeting of Bulgarian-Russian Working Group on Energy to Be Held in Sofia

Sofia, September 16 (BTA) - The next meeting of the Bulgarian-Russian Working Group on Energy will be held in Sofia in mid-October, the press centre of the Energy Ministry said.

An agreement to this end was reached at a meeting of the Bulgarian Ministry officials and Alexander Abramov, Deputy Director at the Department of International Cooperation of the Russian Energy Ministry. Deputy Energy Minister Zhecho Stankov has been designated as Co-Chair on the Bulgarian side. At the meeting the sides are expected to discuss the possibilities for bilateral cooperation in the energy sector. Issues in the areas of natural gas, oil, nuclear power and electricity are expected to feature on the agenda of the discussions.
