Prime Minister Borissov: Resources for Salaries of Service Members, Policemen Will Be Provided

Sofia, September 25 (BTA) - Resources will be provided for the salaries of the Bulgarian service members and police officers for November and December, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said in reply to a journalist's question on Friday.

"We are collecting a lot more money from smugglers and the revenue agencies so as to solve this issue. I have ordered that the deficit be at 2 per cent. If the accounts do not add up, of course we will not leave them without salaries, in such a case we will work on the budget," he said. Borissov added that the Finance Minister is working on plans to be presented to the PM and then to the coalition partners. "We will see what the State's financial state is, because we have also made other commitments and it will not be accepted well if we do not fulfil them - [an increase of] the salaries of teachers, the Christmas and Easter supplements to pensions," Borissov said.
