President's Chief of Cabinet Ekaterina Zaharieva Nominated  as Justice Minister

Sofia, December 16 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov nominated Ekaterina Zaharieva as justice minister on Wednesday. Zaharieva is President Rosen Plevneliev's Chief of Cabinet.

The nomination was first agreed between the leaders of GERB and the Reformist Bloc, and was then approved by the two parties supporting the cabinet, Borissov said before the Council of Ministers' meeting.

He expressed a hope that the election procedure of the Justice Minister would end by Friday.

Zaharieva, who holds a Master's degree in Law, was deputy prime minister and regional development and public minister of Marin Raykov's caretaker cabinet between March 13 and May 29, 2013. She was deputy prime minister for economic policy, minister of regional development and minister of investment planning of Georgi Bliznashki's caretaker cabinet between August 6 and November 7, 2014.
