November 2015 Trips of Bulgarians Abroad Up 12.7 % Y/Y - Statistics

Sofia, December 28 (BTA) - In November 2015, the number of trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 305,200, 12.7 per cent more than in November 2014, the National Statistical Institute said Monday.

Compared to a year earlier, an increase was registered in the total number of trips of Bulgarians to Macedonia by 41.8 per cent, Britain 36.6 per cent, Italy 16.7 per cent, Spain 16.4 per cent, Greece 16.2 per cent, Germany 15.6 per cent, Austria 11.8 per cent, Romania 7.9 per cent, and Turkey 6.8 per cent. At the same time, a decrease was observed in the total number of trips of Bulgarians to France by 28.7 per cent, and Russia by 27.6 per cent, statistics show.

In November 2015, foreign visitors' arrivals to Bulgaria totalled 436,800, 0.8 per cent more than a year earlier.

ЕU citizens' visits accounted for 52.5 per cent of all foreigners' visits to Bulgaria in November 2015, 0.4 per cent less than a year earlier. The visits of foreigners from other European countries increased by 2.5 per cent, the largest growth being registered for citizens of Macedonia, 16.3 per cent.
