Caretaker Sport and Youth Minister Presents Priorities

Sofia, February 9 (BTA) - Caretaker Sport and Youth Minister Daniela Dasheva presented Thursday her team and priorities of work.

Dasheva said that the Ministry will use best practices to coordinate and oversee the sport preparation of athletes. The Ministry will also organize a public debate about the future and the system of sport, which is to take into account the objective economic and social realities. Another priority is support for the Black Sea city of Varna in its bid for European Youth Capital.

Dasheva said that her team will not engage in revisions and checks as an end in themselves, but if any irregularities are uncovered, they will be publicized. A working group is to be set up to open a procedure for amending and supplement the Youth and Sport Act, Dasheva said.
