site.btaSofia Airport Named Fastest Growing in Europe for 2016

Sofia, July 24 (BTA) - Sofia Airport has been named the fastest growing airport in Europe in 2016 in the 3-5 million passengers category by the specialist website anna.aero, the airport said on Monday.

This is a record-large increase of 22 per cent, outperforming the airport in Krakow.

The eighth edition of the prestigious annual awards Euro ANNIES have been conferred by anna.aero after an analysis of the performance of more than 350 European airports.

The weekly e-journal and website devoted to airline and airport network planning has more than 60,000 readers every month.
