Sofia, December 2 (BTA) - The website of the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council has been launched on www.eu2018bg.bg, the Ministry for the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council reported. Since the Cyrillic alphabet is the third official alphabet in the EU, the Bulgarian Presidency's portal is also accessible on ес2018бг.бг.

This is the website's preliminary version: it will become the official webpage of the Bulgarian EU Presidency on January 1, 2018.

The website's content is available in four languages: Bulgarian, English, French, and German, and has been adapted to the needs of impaired users, the ministry said. Available is information on the Bulgarian EU Presidency for journalists, the general public, as well practicing specialists and experts. Users can also see the calendar of events for the first half of 2018. The website will also provide access to the accreditation system through which delegates and journalists will register for the high-level events. Live streaming and recordings of open debates will also be available.

All published articles, documents, press releases, photos, and videos on the website will be with open access. The portal will also be accessible through a mobile application.

The website was built by Information Services AD in conformity with the requirements of the EU Council's General Secretariat. The project cost 69,900 leva (VAT excluded).
