site.btaPresident Radev Congratulates Cypriot Counterpart Anastasiades on Re-election

Sofia, February 6 (BTA) - President Rumen Radev Tuesday spoke over the phone with newly re-elected Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades and congratulated him on his election victory, Radev's press secretariat said.

Radev also thanked Anastasiades for the excellent work in the development of the bilateral relations and friendship.

The Bulgarian President offered thanks for the favourable attitude towards the Bulgarians living in Cyprus and the achieved results during his official visit to the country in November 2017.

Anastasiades said that the Bulgarians in Cyprus are fully integrated in society and that their religious rights are respected and observed.

Radev confirmed his invitation to Anastasiades for an official visit to Bulgaria to discuss ways to expand the bilateral cooperation in energy, security, social and economic cohesion, and issues about the future of Europe.
