Sofia, February 7 (BTA) - No reports have been received so far of any Bulgarian citizens injured or killed in an earthquake that hit the Taiwanese coastal city of Hualien late on Tuesday, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said in a press release on Wednesday.
The powerful magnitude 6.4 quake killed at least two persons and injured 219 when a hotel and three other buildings collapsed. Over 830 people have been evacuated.
The Ministry advises Bulgarian nationals who stay or travel in the Hualien area to update themselves promptly on developments and follow strictly the directions of the competent local authorities,.
