Sofia, February 15 (BTA) - Transport, IT and Communications Minister Ivaylo Moskovski and Macedonia's Transport and Communications Minister Goran Sugareski held a working meeting in Sofia Thursday. It was prompted by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov's commitment to the implementation of the top priority of Bulgaria's EU Presidency - the connectivity of the Western Balkans, the Transport Ministry said.

Moskovski and Sugareski focused on the progress in the construction of Transport Corridor VIII. Connectivity between Bulgaria and Macedonia and possible joint financing of the remaining stretches of road and railway in the two countries were also on the agenda.

Moskovski noted that the two countries could opt for joint construction of road, rail and digital infrastructure. He assured Sugareski that he can rely on full support from Borissov and Bulgaria's Transport Ministry for the further construction of Corridor VIII.

Moskovski will also discuss Transport Corridor VIII with Albania's Energy and Industry Minister Damian Gjiknuri.
