Kazanluk, March 14 (BTA) - One man worker died and another one was badly burnt in a fire in the Arsenal ordnance factory on Wednesday. The company said that the incident occurred around 10:20 am in one of the plant's workshops.

Nobody else was injured in the fire but material damage is reported in the workshop where it broke out. The rest of the workers were evacuated from the factory.

The fire, believed to have been caused by a chemical reaction, was quickly put down but the area remains sealed.

Interior Minister Valentin Radev told reporters in Parliament that the fire was started as a result of a breach of technological discipline. He said that the workshop where the fire occurred, was unmanned and its machines were remotely operated, and the two workers were not supposed to be there.
