Plovdiv, Southern Central Bulgaria, August 6 (BTA) - Labour Minister Bisser Petkov visited on Monday two centres for people with disabilities in the southern town of Plovdiv and met with protesters. He recalled that the state funds as delegated activities over 1,000 social services with a budget of 230 million leva.

Approached about an increase of wages of social workers, the Minister admitted that turnover is significant and it is hard to find qualified labour. The Labour Minister has made it a goal to convince his fellow cabinet ministers that the sector needs more money. What the increase will be and when depends on the possibilities of the state budget.
