Sofia, November 18 (BTA) - National Assembly Chair Tsveta Karayancheva will lead a Bulgarian parliamentary delegation on an official visit to Japan between November 19 and 20 at the invitation of Chuichi Date, President of the House of Councillors (the upper house of the Japanese Parliament), the National Assembly press office said on Sunday.

Emperor Akihito will give an audience to Karayancheva at the Tokyo Imperial Palace on the first day of the visit.

The visiting delegation will include Bulgaria-Japan Friendship Group Deputy Chair Ihsan Halil and the group's members Dimiter Danchev, Nikolai Alexandrov and Plamen Hristov, as well as Deputy Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev.

In addition to Chuichi Date, the guests will also meet with House of Representatives Speaker Tadamori Oshima, the Japan-Bulgaria friendship groups in the two houses of Parliament, and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Further talks are planned with Hitoshi Ochi, Chairman of the Committee on Europe at the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren), and with the leadership of the Japan-Bulgaria Association.

Karayancheva will visit the library of the Japanese Parliament to deliver a donation of books about the culture and history of Bulgaria. LY/VE
