Sofia, November 22 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov Thursday posted on his Facebook profile that speaking of a "disastrous collapse of investments" shows ignorance of the data. He wrote that he received the latest data of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) on foreign investments in Bulgaria.

According to him, data shows there has been serious growth in the past year. He also cited a recent BNB revision, according to which foreign investments increased to 826.4 million euro as at September 2018, and direct foreign investments were also higher than in 2017.

"Since the start of 2018, 19 investment project certificates have been issued under the Investment Promotion Act. The planned investments under these projects total 700 million leva and will create 2,000 jobs. By the end of the year, we expect the number of projects to rise to 29, with a total of 1.6 billion leva of planned investments and nearly 6,000 new jobs," Borissov's post reads. LI/TH
