Constantin-Bogdan Matei and Greece Deputy Sports Minister
Giorgos Vassiliadis made an announcement here on Saturday
regarding the four countries' joint bid to host the FIFA World
Cup in 2030. The four declared their governments' categorical
political support for this project.

Kralev described the joint bid as a vary important political
signal for the whole world. According to him, this is a
declaration that the four countries are ready to defend their
interest together as a family. Bulgaria will invest all of its
energy in implementing the project, he said.

Vassiliadis described this is a chance to promote the region.
"This way, we can show that the Balkan countries are an
important region in Europe," he noted. The Greek Deputy Minister
 said he found out from Minister Kralev that Bulgaria, Serbia
and Romania are jointly hosting the 2021 European Women's
Volleyball Championship, adding that Greece is also interested
in joining.

Minister Vanja Udovicic, who hosted the meeting, declared the
Serbian State's categorical support for the joint bid to host
the 2030 FIFA World Cup. His Romanian counterpart Matei did the
same.

The news conference was followed by a working meeting between
the ministers and representatives of the four counries' football
