Eight New Schemes Will be Launched
under OP Human Resources Development
in 2019

Sofia, November 26 (BTA) - Deputy Labour Minister Zornitsa Roussinova on Monday opened the 11th meeting of the monitoring committee of the Operational Programme for Human Resources Development. Speaking to journalists she voiced hope that eight new schemes, worth 58 million leva, will begin in 2019.

Roussinova said that the new measures are meant to support the reforms of longterm care, and the deinstitutionalization of care homes for the elderly, in particular for the mentally ill and for people with dementia. Homes for disadvantaged children will be reformed too.

Since the start of the OP for Human Resources Development over 200,000 people have benefited from the schemes for education, employment and social inclusion. Over 20,00 children have received support, said Roussinova. In addition to the development of the labour market development, the other most significant accomplishment of the programme is that it helps reform old institutions into new and modern services.
