site.btaGross External Debt Drops by 1.3% at End-February, Y/Y

April 30 (BTA) - Bulgaria's gross external debt amounted
to 33,349.1 million euro (56.4 per cent of GDP) at end-February
2019, dropping by 435.6 million euro (1.3 per cent) year on
year, the Bulgarian National Bank said on Tuesday.

Long-term liabilities totalled 25,121.8 million euro (75.3 per
cent of the total debt, 42.5 per cent of GDP) at end-February
2019, decreasing by 874.3 million euro (3.4 per cent) year on
year.

Short-term liabilities equalled 8,227.3 million euro (24.7 per
cent of the total debt, 13.9 per cent of GDP), growing by 438.7
million euro (5.6 per cent) year on year.

General government's gross external debt totalled 5,513.6
million euro (9.3 per cent of GDP) at end-February 2019. On a
year-on-year basis, general government's debt decreased by 125.6
 million euro (2.2 per cent).
