site.btaOperetta Arias and Duets Performed at Winter Musical Evenings Festival in Pazardzhik

The operetta evening at Maestro Georgi Atanasov Hall continued the jubilee edition of the Winter Musical Evenings – Prof. Ivan Spasov on Saturday.

Tenor Mario Nikolov, soprano Valentina Korchakova, and pianist Stefan Petkov performed arias and duets from works by Franz Lehár, Johann Strauss, Jacques Offenbach, and Imre Kálmán.

Nikolov spoke with the audience and shared memories of Pazardzhik, his hometown. As part of the program, his daughter, Chiara Nikolova, performed Sevdana by Georgi Zlatev-Cherkin on the violin.

Beyond the announced program, Stefan Petkov also took part in the vocal performances in addition to accompanying on piano.
