site.btaCentral Election Commission Opens Registration for Local Elections

September 2 (BTA) - The Central Election Commission (CEC)
 said on Monday that it opened registration of parties and
coalitions for the local elections on October 27.

The ruling party GERB were the first to register. The party
submitted 9,999 signatures, according to Dimiter Nikolov, deputy
 leader of GERB's Executive Committee.

The deadline for registration is September 11. It is carried out
 under the terms of a CEC decision from August 23 2019.

The local elections were scheduled for October 17 by decree of
President Rumen Radev. IG/PP
