September 17 (BTA) - The Embassies of Indonesia, the
Republic of Korea and Turkey in Bulgaria, as the resident
Embassies of MIKTA (an informal partnership between Mexico,
Indonesia, South Korea, Turkey and Australia), organized a
conference on "The Role of Sustainable Innovative Tourism in
Promoting Inclusive Growth and Trade & Economic Cooperation,"
which took place at the St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia
on Tuesday.

"The creation and popularization of various tourism products in
the regions catalyzes their development," Bulgarian Tourism
Minister Nikolina Angelkova said at the Conference, quoted by
her Ministry in a press release.

"Tourism is a sectoral policy and depends on us all: business,
central and local government," Angelkova pointed out during the
forum. "In a bid to support local communities by encouraging
interest in special interest tourism, the Ministry of Tourism
has established 27 thematic destinations: eight cultural and
historical destinations, 12 wine and cuisine destinations, and
seven hydrotherapy and SPA destinations," RY/LG
