site.btaParliamentary Sitting Fails Due to Absence of Quorum, Next Meeting Scheduled for October 30

October 11 (BTA) - Parliament failed to sit on Friday due
 to absence of quorum. Of the 121 MPs required, 106 registered
in the plenary hall. During a second attempt to achieve quorum
112 MPs registered.

The next sitting has been scheduled for October 30, said Deputy
National Assembly Chair Emil Hristov.

Parliament decided to suspend sittings between October 16 and 25
 because of the local elections. However, parliamentary
committees will continue work. RY/PP
