site.btaAssets Managed by Insurance Companies Stood at Nearly Lv 8.5 Mln at End-2019

March 11 (BTA) - Assets managed by insurance companies operating in Bulgaria, amounted to 8.476 billion leva as of the end of December 2019, the Bulgarian National Bank said on Wednesday.

They increased by 831.6 million leva (10.9 per cent) compared to the end of December 2018.

Assets of life insurance companies increased by 327.2 million leva (15.2 per cent) from 2.153 billion leva as of the end of December 2018 to 2.480 billion leva at the end of the same month of 2019.

Assets managed by general insurance companies increased by 504.3 million leva (9.2 per cent) from 5.492 billion leva as of the end of December 2018 to 5.997 billion leva at the end of the same month of 2019. RY/PP
