Discuss Bulgaria's Strategy for
Exiting COVID-19 Crisis
Sofia, May 22 (BTA) - The American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (AmCham) and Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev had a webinar Friday to discuss Bulgaria's strategy for exiting the COVID-19 crisis, AmCham reported here on Friday.
The event, open only to AmCham members, featured some 100 participants, including AmCham Board members and top-level managers.
"To us this webinar is yet another confirmation that institutional dialogue between AmCham and the Government of Bulgaria continues," AmCham President Olivier Marquette said after the event.
To AmCham, the subjects related to preserving the free movement of goods and services, digitization and more efforts and resources for subsequent development of e-government in Bulgaria, as well a health care, energy, transport, and business tourism, among others, are key to preserving and developing the country's economy, the press release said.
Donchev expressed gratitude for the opportunity to discuss a common approach to exit the COVID-19 crisis, as well as confidence that the gradual and precise easing of anti-epidemic measures will mean restoration of the economy. He added that Bulgaria will resort to both European instruments and programmes, and opportunities offered by businesses. NV/BR/ДЛ/
