site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 4,004 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 22.78%

April 7 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in
 Bulgaria reached 360,863 after 17,675 tests identified 4,004
new infections on Tuesday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/ early on Wednesday. The test positivity
rate now stands at 22.78 per cent.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 914 positive
tests, followed by Varna Region with 369 cases and Plovdiv
Region with 334.

The active cases are 70,757. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 10,355, including 755 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 12,287.

Another 2,759 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 276,188.

132 fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to
13,918.

With 9,586 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 519,635
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
coronavirus, of whom 104,845 have received both doses.
