site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 42 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 1.21%

June 14 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 420,336 after 3,470 tests identified 42 new infections on Sunday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 1.21 per cent.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 7 positive tests, followed by Blagoevgrad, Burgas and Sliven regions with 6 cases each and Stara Zagora Region with 3.

The active cases are 12,941. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 2,284, including 247 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 13,432.

Another 93 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 389,495.

Two fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to 17,900.

With 3,263 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 1,577,024 persons in aggregate have received a coronavirus vaccination so far, including 698,734 who are fully vaccinated.
