Sofia, June 22  (BTA) - Caretaker Prime Minister Stefan Yanev
conferred with representatives of the National Association of
Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria (NAMRB) here on
Tuesday

The purpose of the meeting was to hear important and urgent
issues that the national representation of the municipalities is
facing. ''There are many problems, there are many questions, we
know that you have a lot of ideas,'' Yanev said, addressing the
 NAMRB representatives.

He noted that the NAMRB proposals for legislative amendments
will be discussed and, with the joint efforts of various sectors
of the executive, they will be prepared for submission to the
new National Assembly.

Yanev briefed the participants in Tuesday's meeting on the
results of his talks with the National  Association of Mayoralty
Mayors in the Republic of Bulgaria so as to seek common
solutions in the interest of citizens.

NAMRB Board Chairman Daniel Panov said that the municipality
mayors expect to discuss with the PM the changes to the National
Recovery and Resilience Plan, and in particular the energy
renovation of multi-family residential buildings. Based on
survey data, the Association opposes the plans that home owners
self-finance 20 per cent of the costs of such projects.

The participants in the meeting also discussed the June 27 local
by-elections and the July 11 early parliamentary elections and
their financing. The municipalities insist that their capital
subsidy be kept and even increased in the 2022 budget forecast.
Panov commented that budget forecasts should take into account
the estimates of the minimum wage increase in January 2021.
