5,256 New Cases,
Test Positivity Rate at 9.86%
Sofia, October 30 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 598,199, after 53,300 tests identified 5,256 new infections on Friday, according to data posted Saturday on the national coronavirus information platform at https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 9.86 per cent.
Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 1,250 positive tests, followed by Varna Region with 501 cases and Plovdiv Region with 452 cases.
The active cases are 96,797. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 7,680, including 676 in intensive care. Of the 939 newly hospitalized patients, 88.18 per
cent are unvaccinated.
A total of 154 fatalities were reported, of whom 92.21 per cent were not vaccinated, and the death toll now adds up to 23,872.
Another 1,581 COVID-19 patients recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 477,530.
With 23,164 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,847,489 vaccine doses have been administered so far, 1,503,885 people are fully vaccinated and 17,672 people
