Sofia, November 2 (BTA) - The National Revenue Agency (NRA) posted over 2.3 billion leva in revenues in October, nearly 125 million leva more than a year earlier. In the first ten months of the year, the NRA collected over 22.5 billion leva, 2.3 billion leva more than a year earlier, the Agency said.

October tax revenues topped 1.3 billion leva. Compared to October 2020, the increase for corporation tax was largest at 30 per cent. Personal income tax revenues increased by nearly 16 per cent. Health and social security contributions rose steadily by nearly 10 per cent.

The total health and social security contributions in October topped 928.8 million leva, including 555.3 million leva in public social insurance contributions, 235 million leva in in health insurance contributions and 132.8 million leva in supplementary mandatory pension insurance contributions.

NRA Executive Director Rumen Spetsov said the excellent results reflected a positive change in the taxpayers' conduct as voluntary declaration and payment by businesses and individuals increased steadily. DS/DD//
