November 16 (BTA) - The election-winning party Continue the Change will propose a coalition agreement which will include all issues that are important to the country, said co-leader Kiril Petkov in a Nova TV interview on Tuesday.

Petkov said that after the elections he talked briefly with Bulgarian Socialist Party leader Kornelia Ninova. Democratic Bulgaria co-leader Hristo Ivanov and There Is Such a People leader Slavi Trifonov.

He underscored that Continue the Change wants a supraparty approach to the negotiations for forming a government and to set up working groups of experts.

"Bulgaria needs a coalition. We have so many crises to address and no one can afford to go to elections once again," said Petkov.

He added that there is optimism in the fact that there is a very large majority of people who want change and that this majority is stable. Petkov said that he sees many common policies with Democratic Bulgaria and There Is Such a People.

In the coalition talks Continue the Change won't set conditions for ministerial posts despite its statement that it wants to nominate its two co-leaders as prime minister and finance minister.

Petkov said that there are two major changes around which consensus will be sought: the replacement of the prosecutor general and changes to the counter-corruption commission. He said that if certain things are not done there is no sense in being in governance.

Asked about the position of his party about North Macedonia, Petkov said that they will set up the best teams of experts in all areas. The worst case scenario will be if the issue is used for political purposes. Petkov was adamant that there is no one who can exert pressure on the party in response to a question whether there could be external pressure in the dispute with North Macedonia. "The only way to make us do something is by convincing us that this is the right thing for Bulgaria," said Petkov.
