November 21 (BTA) - Speaking to reporters after he cast his vote at the second round of the elections for president and vice president here on Sunday, Kiril Petkov, co-chair of the Continue the Change party which won the highest number of votes at the November 21 snap parliamentary elections, said that he voted for change, and for the person who should head Bulgaria.

Petkov said that the most important thing for the future president is "to put Bulgaria before anything else". "This is the president's role and when we speak about a person to unite the people, this person should unite the people who too put Bulgaria before anything else," Petkov said.

Approached to comment the talks on the formation of a cabinet, Petkov said that "the process proceeds very well".

He said the groups from the political formations to take part in the talks which start next week have already been set up. The politician repeated that there will be 18 such teams on the 18 key topics of negotiations. "The entire public will have the full access to the information on how the negotiations are held because everything will be streamed online," Petkov said, adding that he hopes this transparency will lend "additional readiness for dialogue to the parties". He said that the topics on which there is agreement will be included in the future programme of the government while more talks will be held on the topics in respect of which the opinions differ. "This type of a constructive dialogue will strengthen the future coalition," Petkov said.

He said that who the winner is at Sunday's presidential elections will not have a bearing on the talks for the formation of a government but will influence Bulgaria's path in the next five years. ZH//
