Sofia, August 20 (BTA) - The Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) and the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) - Left Bulgaria Coalition submitted documents for registration for the early parliamentary elections on October 5 with the Central Election Commission (CEC) on Wednesday, hours before the deadline.

The MRF lists will be publicized by the week's end.

"Irrespective of the election result, we should find the formula of steady governances in the next period," MRF leader Lyutvi Mestan told journalists. "We have all grown tired of self-contained confrontation and of frequent change of governments. It is time for peace and responsible governance", Mestan stressed. MRF will stick to the line of balanced, tolerant and efficient campaign, established at the European Parliament elections, he also said.

Asked to assess the first steps of the Georgi Bliznashki caretaker Cabinet, Mestan said that the Prime Minister and the caretaker Cabinet as a whole should make much more effort to disperse what Mestan believes to be justified fears that it is not equally independent of all political forces.

Mikov: "I wish BSP to become authentic representative of Left expectations in Bulgaria"

"I wish that BSP along with its coalition partners would become an authentic representative of the Left expectations in Bulgaria," BSP leader Mihail Mikov said after the BSP - Left Bulgaria Coalition registered for the elections. According to Mikov, the new coalition should represent the Left expectations for more fairness regarding workers' pay, public procurement contracts for small and medium-sized enterprises and pensioners.

The BSP leader made some comments on the top-of-the-lists candidates in the country. The lists have not been set yet but BSP was the first to publicize its leading candidates, while the other parties Уkeep them in the shelvesФ, said he.

Asked about the leading candidate in the Blagoevgrad Constituency, Mikov said that the final decision will be taken by the BSP National Council but he will keep on lobbying for former foreign minister Kristian Vigenin. Vigenin's candidature was opposed by the BSP local chapter.
