November 29 (BTA) - Custom officers seized 17 kg of cannabis in a car at the Gyueshevo Border Checkpoint, the Customs Agency said here on Monday.

The vehicle, registered in Romania, was traveling from Kosovo to Romania and was driven by a Kosovo citizen. The inspection uncovered a total of 60 sealed bags in the car. The bags contained a green grassy mass that reacted as cannabis (marijuana) during a field drug test.

The Kyustendil prosecution requested a measure of detention in custody against the 41-year-old driver. DD/KK
