Sofia, December 3 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 699,180, after 27,672 tests identified 2,018 new infections on Thursday, of whom nearly 82 per cent are unvaccinated, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 7.37 per cent.
Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 514 positive tests, followed by Plovdiv Region with 173 cases, Varna Region with 126 cases and Burgas Region with 117.
The active cases are 103,606. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 6,225, including 702 in intensive care. Of the 514 newly hospitalized patients, 90.27 per cent are unvaccinated.
A total of 114 fatalities were reported, of whom 93 per cent were not vaccinated, and the death toll now adds up to 28,656.
Another 3,344 COVID-19 patients recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 566,918.
With 20,832 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 3,370,825 vaccine doses have been administered so far, 1,789,588 people are fully vaccinated and 114,816 people have received a booster dose. DD
