Mizia Gets Lv 1,777,000 in EU Aid to Mitigate 2014 Flood Effects
Sofia, September 17 (BTA) - Mizia Municipality in Northern Bulgaria will receive 1,777,000 leva in EU grant aid to mitigate the effects of summer 2014 flooding under a contract signed on Wednesday, the Regional Development and Public Works Ministry reported on Thursday.
The money has been provided by the EU Solidarity Fund. It will be used to clear up the bed of the Skut River, which is filled with large amounts of mud and silt as a result of heavy rainfall that hit the area between July 31 and August 2, 2014.
