1,883,411 Voters Support  E-voting in Referendum, Compared to 704,182 Against

Sofia, October 30 (BTA) - A total of 2,587,593 valid votes were cast in the October 25 national referendum about the introduction of remote electronic voting. The number of votes in favour of e-voting is 1,883,411, compared to 704,182 against, the Central Election Commission (CEC) said on Friday.

According to CEC's data, a total of 2,708,716 voted in the referendum based on signatures in voters lists, and 2,709,210 based on the number of envelopes found in ballot boxes.

A total of 6,766,619 voters were eligible to vote in the referendum, according to voters lists.

A total of 1,137 ballots without envelopes were found, 6,481 ballots were mistaken and 122,339 were invalid, CEC said.
