Health Ministry, Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association Sign Memorandum of Cooperation
Sofia, March 16 (BTA) - Health Minister Ilko Semerdjiev, the Chairperson and the Director of the Association of the Research-based Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in Bulgaria (ARPharM), Zoya Paunova and Deyan Denev, signed here on Thursday a Memorandum of Cooperation and Partnership, the Health Ministry reported in a press release.
They will cooperate to ensure access to high-quality and effective medicinal products for Bulgarian citizens and to exercise control and joint checks between the
Bulgarian Drug Agency, the National Health Insurance Fund, the National Revenue Agency and the Customs Agency. Persons trading in medicinal products in Bulgaria and to and from other countries will be subject to inspection. Permits for trading in medicinal products will be monitored, as well as the observance of good distributing practices and the rules for dispensing and selling medications.
The agreement provides measures for better interaction between medicinal product use permit-holders and distributors, as well as for overcoming medicinal deficits. The legislative measures will overcome the deficit of a specific medicinal product, caused by its export.
