Bulgaria Revokes Sojourn Permit of Turkish National over Threat to National Security

Sofia, March 17 (BTA) - The Interior Ministry said Friday that they have enforced an order by the State Agency for National Security (SANS) for revoking the sojourn permit of a Turkish national seen as a threat to national security. The announcement would not say what specifically the man was engaged in.

It says that SANS issued an order for revoking the Turkish man's Bulgarian sojourn permit for a period of five years in a procedure under Article 4 of the SANS Act, the SANS.

Article 4 of the SANS Act contains a long list of 14 items which detail various activities calling for the interference of SANS, from working for foreign intelligence services to corruption to international trade in arms.
