Road Toll System Public Procurement Procedure Suspended by Appeals

Sofia, May 22 (BTA) - The public procurement award procedure to design, build and implement an electronic toll system for vehicles of over 3.5 tonnes has been suspended after three appeals were received on Friday, May 19, the Road Infrastructure Agency said in a press release on Monday.

All action under the procedure has been halted until the competent authorities pronounce on the appeals.

The public procurement procedure was announced on April 5, 2016 but has been repeatedly put on hold and restarted due to multiple complaints by bidders and protests by bus carriers.
