site.btaForeign Ministry Warns Bulgarians in Greece of 24-hour Nationwide Strike

Sofia, December 12 (BTA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises Bulgarian nationals residing in or travelling to Greece to familiarise themselves in advance with the transport timetables and the possible alternative connections to other means of transportation.

The Foreign Ministry recalls that a 24-hour nationwide strike has been announced in Greece for December 14. The strike of the biggest trade unions in the country will affect Greece's public transport: buses, trolleybuses, the underground railway system, the railway system, and ships.

According to information of the Bulgarian Embassy in Athens, the trolleybuses and buses in the country will not run from the start of the workday until 9 am, and from 9 pm until the end of the workday on December 14. No sea transport will operate throughtout the day.
