Sofia, December 13 (BTA) - The first informal EU Justice and Home Affairs Council under the Bulgarian EU Presidency will take place at the end of February, said Interior Minister Valentin Radev emerging from a meeting with visiting EU Commissioner for the Security Union Julian King on Thursday.

The two discussed border security, terrorism threats, controls on the Greek and Italian borders, migrant flows control and the integration of the Western Balkans.

King commended Bulgaria's preparations for the EU Presidency. EU citizens are concerned with the current threats which calls for stepped up cooperation including in cyber security, said King. The agenda of the Bulgarian EU Presidency will be busy. The EU Commissioner said that extra efforts are needed to deter terrorists and limit opportunities to supply themselves with weapons.
