Sofia, February 2 (BTA) - President Rumen Radev has vetoed a bill to supplement and amend the Seed Stock and Planting Stock Act because of consequent amendments to the Agricultural Land Conservation Act, Radev's press secretariat said.

Radev has objected to the rules related to a change in the purpose of agricultural land.

The President argues that these rules fail to implement a constitutional obligation for the state to protect land and to guarantee that a change in the purpose of agricultural land will occur only in cases of exception.

According to the head of State legislative changes which concern fundamental constitutional principles should go through all the stages of the legislation process in order to guarantee transparency and allow all parties involved to express their opinion.
