site.btaBulgaria's Seismic Risk to be Mapped by 2025

Sofia, February 5 (BTA) - The seismic risk on the territory of Bulgaria is to be mapped by 2025, in a project of the Regional Development and Public Works Ministry. The project has been published for public discussion on the web site of the Ministry and in the portal for public consultations.

Mapping the seismic risk will help forecast and mitigate possible damage from earthquakes.

The terms of reference were developed by the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Cartography of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The project is estimated at 10 million leva.
