site.btaTurkish Navy Ships, Submarine to Visit Varna

Varna, on the Black Sea, March 29 (BTA) - A group of ships and the Inonu submarine of the Turkish Navy will be on a visit to Varna from March 30 to April 2, the Admiralty Office said in a press release. On April 2 the ships will take part in a joint PASSEX exercise with the Bulgarian Navy.

The ships that will come are part of the annual exercise Sea Star 2018 which will also be joined by other units of the Turkish Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard.

The guests are scheduled to meet the Regional Governor and the Mayor of Varna and with the Commander of the Naval Base Point. On March 31 the Turkish ships will be open for visits to the public. Also on March 31, sailors from the Turkish crews will visit nearby Dobrich to lay wreaths at the memorial military cemetery.
