site.btaInternational Seminar on Energy and Climate Diplomacy Begins in Sofia

The Diplomatic Institute (DI) of the Foreign Ministry opened the 13th edition of its seminar on energy and climate diplomacy. The event will be held at the Metropolitan Hotel in Sofia from June 10 to 13, informed the DI.

The programme of the seminar focuses on current geopolitical processes and their impact on energy security and energy transition, on topics related to multilateral climate negotiations, as well as sectoral analysis of major energy sources like renewables, nuclear, oil, natural gas and coal. The last day of the seminar includes a traditional study visit to Kozloduy NPP.

The seminar is aimed at diplomats, civil servants and representatives of the private sector with an interest in the topic, the DI specified. The forum is traditionally attended by representatives of countries from the Western Balkans, the Eastern Partnership and the European Union.

Speakers in the webinar will include Bulgarian and foreign energy experts from the public, academic and non-governmental sectors.
