On September 13, the Ahjung Gallery at Induk University in Seoul hosted the opening of the third edition of the B.I. International Poster Art Biennale (BIPB) – an international event dedicated to poster art and graphic design, the Bulgarian Embassy in South Korea announced on its website on Tuesday. It was organized by Gallery BI in partnership with Induk University and other academic institutions. This year's edition brought together finalists in the competition from dozens of countries, including Bulgarian artist Radoslava Boor, who was awarded the BIPB Award.

The posters were structured into five categories – “Culture,” “Performing Arts,” “Public Issues,” “Society,” and “Trade,” and the exhibition offered the audience a wide range of original works on topics ranging from ecology and social justice to identity and globalization. Many of the works were distinguished by their experimental approach to form and visual language. The opening on Saturday brought together designers, teachers, diplomats, students, and guests from different countries. The organizers emphasized that interest in this year's edition was record-breaking and that the biennial is increasingly establishing itself as a platform where poster art goes beyond advertising and becomes an instrument for cultural communication and social messaging, according to our diplomatic mission.

The Embassy added that the event will remain open to visitors until the end of September at the Ahjung Gallery at Induk University.

At the invitation of Induk University President Kwangman Kim and B.I. International Poster Art Biennale Founder Byoungil Sun, Bulgarian Ambassador to Seoul Petar Kraytchev also participated in the opening of the festival. In his welcoming speech, he expressed his gratitude for the cooperation with the exhibition organizers and the opportunity to share its opening with distinguished artists from around the world. The Bulgarian Ambassador welcomed Radoslava Boor - in the year we celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries - with recognition for her high creative achievements, which took her all the way to Seoul as a winner, according to the statement from our diplomatic mission.
