site.btaForeign Minister Visits Exhibition of Artworks by Bulgarian Jewish Artists in Berlin
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel visited the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Berlin as part of her visit to Germany. She met with the director of the Institute, Borislav Petranov and visited the exhibition of paintings by Bulgarian artists of Jewish origin from the collection of the Ruse Art Gallery, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the rescue of Bulgarian Jews during the World War II.
Gabriel wrote on her Facebook page on Thursday: "Established in 1962, the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Berlin promotes Bulgaria's cultural activities, popularizes the history and present of our country, its literature, cinema, art".
The exhibition is comprised of paintings by Marko Behar, Anna Kramer-Behar, David Peretz, Petranka Katz, Eliezer Alshekh, Jacques Avdala, Volodya Kenarev, Gredi Assa and Andrey Daniel.
The event will be open for visitors until December 13.
